How the Stripe Fee Formula Works
You Receive = Amount − Stripe Fee − Tax on Fee (if applicable)
The rate itself can be made up of up to two parts stacked together: your country’s base rate, plus an international surcharge if the customer’s card is issued in a different country. A separate currency conversion fee (typically 1–2%) applies on top of that if the customer paid in a currency different from your payout currency — it’s a genuinely separate charge, not folded into the card rate.
