Terms of Service

Effective date: 10 October 2026

Welcome to DigitalTreed. These terms apply to your use of digitaltreed.com and its services. The site is run by DigitalTreed, a business owned and operated by Aijaz Alam, Kanpur, India ("DigitalTreed", "we", "us"). By using the site, or by ticking the box when you sign up or pay, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data, and our disclaimer explains the limits of the information we publish.

This document is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. It is generated by a computer system and does not need a physical or digital signature. Any terms you propose that add to or conflict with these terms do not apply unless we agree to them in writing.

1. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and give true, accurate and complete details, and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your password and two-factor codes safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think it has been misused, and we will act to secure it.
  • Publisher and advertiser roles are granted after review, and we may refuse or withdraw them.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Money already held for an order is then handled as described in section 5.

2. Our services and the site

DigitalTreed offers digital marketing services such as SEO, content marketing, social media marketing, paid advertising and web development, publishes articles about marketing, business and technology, and provides free online tools, a publishing marketplace and advertising on this site.

  • The tools are free and provided "as is". Their results are automated checks and estimates. Check anything important before you rely on it, and do not treat tax or invoice tools as professional advice.
  • Tools that check a web address fetch it from our server. Use them only for sites you are allowed to test. Do not use them to scan, overload or attack any system.
  • Usage is rate-limited, and we may block traffic that looks automated or abusive.
  • Paid services we provide directly (for example marketing work or a sponsored post on this site) follow the price and scope agreed before you pay, and section 7.

3. Content and intellectual property

  • The site's text, images, graphics, videos, layout, design, tools and code belong to DigitalTreed or its licensors. We give you a limited, non-transferable licence to use the site under these terms. You may share links and short quotes with credit. Do not republish whole articles or copy the site without permission. Unauthorised use may lead to legal action.
  • You keep the rights to what you submit (comments, reviews, messages, articles, ad creatives, briefs). You give us a royalty-free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, use, edit for formatting and length, display and distribute it as needed to run the site, for example to publish an approved comment or article, or to display your ad. You confirm that you have the right to submit it, and you are responsible for it.
  • Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing, misleading, hateful, sexually explicit, or that promotes gambling, weapons, drugs or scams. We moderate comments and may remove any content that breaks the law, someone else's rights or these terms.
  • If you believe content here infringes your rights, write to our Grievance Officer (see the contact page).

4. Third-party websites

The site links to other websites and uses third-party services such as payment processors and advertising networks. Links are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement. Your use of another website or service is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for it.

5. The publishing marketplace

The marketplace connects advertisers, who order sponsored posts, with publishers, who publish them on their own websites. We hold the payment in escrow and release it according to these rules. We are not a party to the content agreement between advertiser and publisher.

Ordering and paying

  • We are not registered for GST at present, so no GST is added to orders. If we register, GST will be added at checkout at the applicable rate and shown before you pay. You pay through Razorpay.
  • An order that is not paid within 24 hours is cancelled.
  • Your payment is held until the order is completed, refunded, or decided in a dispute.

Delivery and confirmation

  • The publisher accepts the order, publishes the post on the listed site, and submits the live link.
  • The advertiser then confirms the order. If the advertiser does nothing for 5 days after delivery, the order is confirmed automatically.
  • Whether a post is labelled "Sponsored", and how the link is marked, follows the option chosen at checkout. Each party is responsible for meeting the disclosure rules that apply to them, including search engine guidelines and advertising laws. We are not liable for how a publisher or advertiser discloses sponsored content.

Disputes and refunds

  • Either party can open a dispute before the order is completed. The automatic confirmation stops while the dispute is open.
  • We review the order, its messages and its history. We then either release the payment to the publisher or refund the advertiser in full or in part. Our decision on the escrowed amount is final as between the parties on the platform, but it does not limit any legal rights you have.
  • Marketplace refunds are made only through this dispute process, back to the original payment method through Razorpay.

Publisher earnings

  • For each completed order, the publisher earns the order price minus our 20% commission, minus tax deducted at source (TDS) where the law requires it.
  • Payouts need verified KYC (legal name, PAN, bank account, and GSTIN if registered). They are approved by us and paid by bank transfer, usually within a few working days of approval.
  • Publishers are responsible for their own tax filings and for keeping published posts live as agreed.

Reviews

After a completed order, the advertiser may leave one review of the publisher. Reviews are moderated, and we may hide reviews that are abusive or not about the order.

6. Advertising on this site

  • When you book an ad from your dashboard, you choose an ad placement, a start date and a number of days, and pay in advance through Razorpay. Every ad is reviewed before it runs.
  • If we reject your ad, we tell you why and refund the payment. Once an ad has started running, the payment is not refundable, unless we stop it for a reason that is not your fault.
  • Ads are labelled "Advertisement", and links are marked as sponsored. Impression and click counts come from our own records. They exclude known bots and prefetches, and are not a guarantee of results.
  • Your ad must be lawful, accurate and truthful, must point to a working page, and must not imitate our site or anyone else. You confirm you hold the rights to everything in it.

7. Payments and refunds for services bought from us

This section covers services you buy directly from DigitalTreed, such as sponsored posts and other placements on this site (see our media kit) and marketing services. The marketplace and self-serve ads follow sections 5 and 6.

  • The price and scope are agreed before you pay. For new sponsored collaborations, 50% is paid upfront and the remaining 50% after publication.
  • For one-time projects, such as a website, logo, design or video, 50% is paid in advance and the remaining 50% before delivery or launch.
  • Monthly services, such as SEO, ads management, social media and content, are paid in advance at the start of each month. There is no minimum term. To stop a monthly service, tell us at least 15 days before your next billing month; the service runs until the end of the month you have paid for.
  • You can pay by UPI, bank transfer, or card and net banking through Razorpay. We are not registered for GST at present, so no GST is charged, and you get an invoice for every payment.
  • Timelines in a quote are our best estimate and start once we have the content and access we need from you. Ad spend paid to Google, Meta or other platforms, and domain and hosting fees, are not part of our fees unless the quote says so.
  • No refunds are given after successful publication or delivery.
  • A refund may apply for non-delivery, a duplicate payment, or an order cancelled before work is published. Refund requests are reviewed case by case, and approved refunds go back to the original payment method. Our refunds and cancellations page sets out every refund rule in one place.
  • If a payment is disputed, we may pause the service until the matter is resolved.

8. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • use the site or our services for anything unlawful under Indian law or the law that applies to you, or to break these terms;
  • try to break, overload, scrape at scale or get around the security of the site, or send spam, malware or harmful code;
  • impersonate anyone, or give false information to us or to other users;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.

Breaking these rules may lead to suspension of your account, legal action, or both.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

  • We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, complete, up to date or fit for a particular purpose. You use it at your own risk.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, rankings, business interruption or data.
  • Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for services in the six months before the claim.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
  • For users in the United States: some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some of the limits above may not apply to you. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DigitalTreed, its owner, staff and affiliates against claims, losses and damages arising from your use of the site, your content, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of anyone else's rights.

11. Force majeure

We are not liable for failing to perform an obligation under these terms when something outside our reasonable control prevents it, such as a natural disaster, war, strike, government order, or a failure of the internet, hosting or payment networks.

12. Suspension, termination and changes

  • We may suspend or end your access to the site or your account, with or without notice, especially if you break these terms. Your data is then handled as our privacy policy describes.
  • You can stop using the site and delete your account at any time.
  • We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. If a change is significant and affects paid services, we will tell signed-in users. Using the site after a change means you accept it.

13. Privacy and California residents

Your use of the site is also governed by our privacy policy, including how we use cookies. If you live in California, you may have rights under the CCPA to access or delete your personal information; the privacy policy explains them. We do not sell personal information as defined in the CCPA.

14. Children (COPPA)

In line with the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Accounts are for people aged 18 or over. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

15. Governing law and disputes

Before starting any formal claim, please write to us at [email protected], so we can try to resolve the matter.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you.

16. Export control

You may not use, export or re-export our services in breach of US export laws or regulations. By using the site, you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US embargo or designated by the US government as a "terrorist supporting" country.
