Quick answer
How to merge PDF files
Add two or more files to the merger above, put them in order in the Files list and click Merge files. Your combined PDF is ready to download in seconds. You can keep only some pages of each file (like 1-3, 7), mix in JPG or PNG photos and add a blank page between files. It is free, needs no account, and your files never leave your device.
Add your files
Click Select PDF files or drop PDFs and images on the box together. Need one more? Click + Add files at any time.
Set the order
Use the ↑ ↓ arrows next to each file, or Sort A → Z, Sort Z → A and Reverse. Every file gets its own colour in the preview, so you can see where its pages land.
Pick pages (optional)
Type a range like 1-3, 7 in the Pages box under any PDF to merge only those pages. Leave it empty to include the whole file.
Merge and download
Click Merge files and save the PDF. From the download screen you can send it straight to Compress, Sign, Edit, Watermark, Page numbers or Split, without adding it again.

Features
More than a simple PDF joiner
Everything you need to build one tidy document from many files, in one place.
Live page preview
See every page of the final PDF before you merge, colour-coded by source file, so nothing ends up in the wrong place.
Merge selected pages
Include all pages, a range or single pages from each file. There is no need to split the PDFs first.
Images become pages
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP images are placed on A4 pages right next to your PDFs.
Smart sorting
Sorting is natural, so "Chapter 2" comes before "Chapter 10", just as you would expect. The Magic button sorts your files this way in one click.
Blank page separators
Tick one box to add a blank page between files, so each document starts on a new sheet when you print double-sided.
Chain to other tools
Send the merged PDF straight to Compress, Sign, Edit, Watermark, Page numbers or Split. No second upload, because there was no first one.
Page ranges
Merge only the pages you need
Every PDF in the Files list has a small Pages box. Leave it empty to include the whole file, or type the pages you want. The preview updates as you type, so you can check the result before you merge.
This is handy when you need page 1 of an offer letter, pages 2 to 4 of a bank statement and the last page of a contract in one clean document. Separate ranges with commas. You can also type "end" or "last" for the final page, so "end" alone keeps just the last page.
| You type | Pages included |
|---|---|
| 1-3 | Pages 1, 2 and 3 |
| 1, 4, 7 | Pages 1, 4 and 7 |
| 5- | Page 5 to the end |
| 2-4, 9 | Pages 2, 3, 4 and 9 |
| 5-1 | Pages 5 down to 1, in reverse order |
| end | Only the last page |
| (empty) | All pages |
A page you list twice is only included once. Page numbers higher than the file has are moved to its last page.
Mix formats
Merge JPG and PDF into one file
Applications and claims often need a mix: a PDF form, a scanned ID photo and a picture of a receipt. Add them all to the same list and the images become pages automatically.
Supported images
JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP. Phone photos are turned the right way up using the rotation saved in the photo.
Neat A4 pages
Each image is fitted onto an A4 page, portrait or landscape to match its shape. Nothing is stretched or cropped.
Need more control?
For Letter or Legal pages, margins or fill-the-page layouts, make the PDF with JPG to PDF first, then merge the result here.
Ordering
Get the page order right
Reorder files
Use the ↑ ↓ arrows in the Files list, or Sort A → Z, Sort Z → A and Reverse for quick fixes. Magic sorts files by name in natural order.
Reorder single pages
Need to move one page between files? Open Organize pages in the PDF editor, add all your PDFs and drag pages anywhere, then save them as one PDF.
Naming tip
Start file names with numbers, like 01-cover.pdf and 02-report.pdf. One click on Sort A → Z then puts everything in order.

Best practices
Tips for a clean merged PDF
✓ Do
- Check the preview before merging. It shows the final page order.
- Use page ranges to skip cover pages and blank sheets.
- Compress the merged PDF if it is going by email or to an upload portal.
- Add page numbers after merging, so the numbering runs across the whole document.
- Give the file a clear name in the Output file name box, like "Priya-Application-2026".
✕ Don't
- Don't add password-locked PDFs. Remove the password first, or the file is left out.
- Don't add huge photos if the result has to be small. Compress afterwards or shrink them first.
- Don't forget sideways scans. Rotate them in Organize pages before or after merging.
- Don't upload private bundles to sites that store your files.

No watermark, no sign-up and no daily limit. PDF pages are copied as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I merge PDF files for free?
Add your PDFs to the merger on this page, arrange them in the Files list and click Merge files. Download your combined PDF. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no fixed limit on the number of files.
How do I combine two PDFs into one?
Select both PDFs at once, or add them one after the other, check the order in the preview, then click Merge files. The second file's pages are added after the first.
Can I merge JPG and PDF files together?
Yes. Add images and PDFs in the same list. Each image becomes an A4 page in the merged PDF, turned to match the shape of the photo.
Can I merge only specific pages?
Yes. Type page ranges like 1-3, 7 in the Pages box under a file. Leave it empty to include all pages.
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
There is no fixed limit, and dozens of files are fine. Everything happens in your browser, so very large jobs depend on your device's memory. Around 250 MB of files at once works well on most computers; above that the tool warns you that it may slow down.
How do I change the order of files?
Use the ↑ ↓ arrows next to each file, or Sort A → Z, Sort Z → A and Reverse. To move single pages between files, use Organize pages in the PDF editor instead.
Will merging reduce quality?
No. PDF pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and pictures keep their quality. Only the image files you add are placed on new A4 pages; JPG and PNG files are usually embedded unchanged.
Is it safe to merge confidential PDFs?
Yes. Files are merged on your device and never uploaded, so nothing is stored on a server.
My merged PDF is too big. What now?
On the download screen, tap Compress PDF under "Continue with this file". The merged file opens in the compressor straight away, and the Balanced level usually shrinks photo-heavy files a lot. Read more on the Compress PDF page.
Can I merge PDFs on my phone?
Yes. Open this page in Chrome or Safari, select several PDFs or photos and merge. No app is needed.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Remove the open password in your PDF app first; a locked file is marked with and skipped. Files that only block copying or editing can be merged, but their pages are added as images, so their text is no longer selectable.
Can I add page numbers to the merged PDF?
Yes. After merging, tap Page numbers under "Continue with this file" to add numbering like "Page 1 of 20" across the whole document.
What can't it do?
It does not merge Word, Excel or PowerPoint files directly; save them as PDF first. It also cannot open password-locked PDFs or run OCR on scans.
