How to use it
Correct JSON-LD in three steps
Pick the type, or prefill from your page
Choose what the page is about: a dentist, a product, a blog post, a job. Paste the page's address and the form fills from its title, description, image, author and dates, and lists any markup already there so you can load it and edit one field instead of adding a second block.
Fill the fields Google asks for
The form is grouped the way Google's documentation lists the properties: required, recommended, and the rest of schema.org. Hours, images, breadcrumb items and profiles are rows you add. The rules are enforced as you type: no review stars on your own business, dates with a time zone, absolute URLs, a six-digit PIN code, a price as a plain number.
Copy, paste, test
Copy the block into the page's head, then test it with Google's Rich Results Test and our Schema Markup Validator. Save the form in your browser, or copy a link to it, to come back later.

Quick answer
What is a schema markup generator?
A schema markup generator turns a form into structured data, the JSON-LD block that tells Google what a page is about: this is a dental clinic at this address with these hours, this is a product at this price. This one covers the types Google still shows rich results for in 2026, marks which properties Google requires and which it recommends, warns where a rule applies (no review stars on your own business, no hidden values), and gives you a block to paste into the page's head. Structured data makes a page eligible for rich results; it does not lift rankings on its own.
Which type for which site
Most Indian business sites need only a few
| Site type | Worth adding | Add only if it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Clinic, salon, coaching centre, shop | Local business, Organization, Breadcrumb | Event (open days, workshops), Video |
| Online store or D2C brand | Product, Organization, Breadcrumb | Review snippet (genuine reviews only), Video |
| Blog or publisher | Article, Breadcrumb, Organization | Video, Profile page for authors |
| Company hiring staff | Job posting on each live opening | Remove it when the job closes |
Put Organization on the home page or the About page, not on every page. Add the Organization and the Breadcrumb to a block with the "In this block" chips and the tool links them by @id in one @graph, the way the Advanced guide builds a template.
What Google removed
Why FAQ and How-to are labelled legacy
Google has been trimming rich results for three years. HowTo rich results went in September 2023. Seven more types (Book actions, Course info, Claim review, Estimated salary, Learning video, Special announcement, Vehicle listing) were phased out in June 2025. FAQ rich results stopped showing on 7 May 2026 and the documentation was removed on 15 June 2026. The sitelinks search box went in November 2024, so we do not offer it. The markup is still valid schema.org; keep FAQ markup only if it describes the page, and expect nothing from it. Other generators still sell these types as if they worked.
The rules the form enforces
What the warnings mean
| Warning | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No review stars on your own business | Google gives no stars to a LocalBusiness or Organization for reviews it controls, including a reviews widget | Leave the rating off; show the reviews on the page as text |
| Not an absolute URL | Images, logos and links must start with https:// | Paste the full address |
| Start with the country code | Google asks for the country and area code in telephone | +91 522 400 1234 |
| Six-digit PIN | An Indian postal code has six digits | 226010, not 22601 |
| Price is a number | 1499 with priceCurrency INR, not ₹1,499 | Digits only; the currency has its own field |
| Author name only | Google wants the name alone in author.name | Drop "Dr." and "posted by"; the prefix has its own property |
| Date in the past | A past validThrough or priceValidUntil hides the result | Update it, or remove the markup when a job closes |
| Physical venue only | Google supports events at a real place | Online-only events get no event rich result |
Where to paste it
In the head, once per page
WordPress: Rank Math's Schema tab (custom schema) or a header-scripts plugin for Yoast; let one plugin own the graph, so if your plugin already writes this type, edit it there. Shopify: theme.liquid or the product or article template. Wix: custom code in the head. Static HTML: inside the head. Tag Manager works, but read values from the page rather than hardcoding them, and render Product price and stock on the server. Check the result with our Schema Markup Validator and Google's Rich Results Test, then watch the rich result reports in Search Console.
FAQ
Questions people ask
What is schema markup?
Code in a fixed vocabulary, schema.org, that states facts about a page so a machine does not have to guess. JSON-LD is the format Google recommends: one block in the head instead of attributes woven through the HTML.
Does schema markup improve rankings?
No. It makes a page eligible for rich results and states facts clearly. Backlinko's study of 11.8 million results found no correlation between schema and position, and Google said its 2025 phase-outs would not affect how pages rank.
Which schema type should I use?
By site type: a clinic, salon or shop adds Local business, Organization and Breadcrumb; a store adds Product; a blog adds Article. The table above is the guide's.
Is FAQ schema still worth adding?
Google stopped showing FAQ rich results on 7 May 2026. Keep it only if it describes the page, and expect nothing from it. The tool still writes it, labelled as legacy.
Does HowTo schema still work?
Google removed HowTo rich results in September 2023. The markup is valid schema.org and nothing more.
Where do I put JSON-LD?
In the head of the page, once. In WordPress, let one plugin own the schema and edit its block rather than adding a second one of the same type.
Can I add schema without a plugin?
Yes. Paste the block into the head, or into a header-scripts box in your theme or page builder.
What is the difference between required and recommended properties?
Required properties make the page eligible for the rich result; recommended ones fill it in. Both come from Google's documentation for each type, and the form marks them.
Can I add review stars to my clinic's page?
No. Google gives no stars to a business for reviews it controls, so the form keeps the rating fields off for your own LocalBusiness or Organization. Reviews of other businesses are the exception.
Does the markup have to match the page?
Yes. Every value must be visible on the page: the same name, address, hours and price a visitor can read. Marking up hidden content breaks Google's guidelines.
How do I test it?
Google's Rich Results Test shows what Google would show; our Schema Markup Validator and validator.schema.org check that it is valid schema.org. After launch, Search Console's rich result reports flag errors across the whole site.
What are @id and @graph?
One block holding several entities that point at each other: the Organization is the publisher of the Article and the brand of the Product. Add the Organization and the Breadcrumb with the chips above the form and the tool writes the links.
Does schema help with AI Overviews?
Google says there is no special structured data you need for AI Overviews or AI Mode. Clear, consistent facts help; a retainer for schema does not.
Can it edit the markup my plugin already writes?
Yes. Prefill from the page, and every JSON-LD block already there is listed with a "Load into the form" button. Edit the field, copy the block, and replace the plugin's version where it is written.
