Peacock in Canada: how to watch Peacock shows legally

Peacock in Canada: a living room TV showing a drawn generic streaming app with show tiles beside a lamp, with a Watch it legally button
On this page

Quick answer

Peacock in Canada isn't available: as of October 30, 2026, Peacock's own pages limit it to the US plus five U.S. territories. The legal route is a Canadian service, and at least four Peacock originals stream on STACKTV at $14.99 CAD a month on Prime Video after a 7-day trial. Start with the show table.

Maybe you pay for Peacock in Ohio and just landed in Toronto. Peacock is a US streaming service from Peacock TV LLC, "A Division of NBCUniversal," per its own footer.

We cover whether Peacock is available in Canada, why shows are sold country by country, the originals that stream there, STACKTV and Hayu. Then come what we tested, visiting Canada with a US plan and the terms on hiding your location.

Key takeaways

  • We confirmed four Peacock originals on STACKTV in Canada.
  • Peacock streams only across the US plus five U.S. territories.
  • STACKTV costs $14.99 CAD a month after a 7-day trial.
  • Hayu's yearly Canadian plan works out to $5.92 CAD a month.
  • Peacock's terms ban concealing your location.

Is Peacock available in Canada?

No, and Peacock says so in its own help center. Its availability article, in the copy the Internet Archive captured on June 9, 2026, says Peacock is "available to stream within the United States and certain U.S. territories." Those five are American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Canada isn't one of them.

Every peacocktv.com address we requested on October 30, 2026 landed on a page headed "Unavailable In Your Region," six for six.

For anyone outside the US, that page adds: "Peacock is not yet available in your territory." The Peacock Terms of Service, updated December 3, 2025, go a step further. In the copy the Internet Archive captured on October 21, 2026, they say Peacock is for people who "reside in the United States (including its territories and possessions)." A Canadian home address doesn't qualify.

Our script logged two fields for each of those six addresses, the status code and the address it pointed to, and they didn't change: 302, then /unavailable. Our redirect checker shows the same two fields for any address you paste in.

Why Peacock stops at the border: shows are sold country by country

Peacock's pages don't say why, but NBCUniversal's newsroom shows how one of Peacock's thrillers was sold abroad. A December 11, 2024 NBCUniversal release says The Day of the Jackal "has been sold to nearly 200 territories worldwide." For Canada, the buyer it names is Corus, for a cable channel and "StackTV in Canada."

The same release names Amazon Prime Video as the buyer in France and JioCinema in India, while the second season was renewed "on Peacock and Sky."

So a series that's a Peacock Original in Ohio has a Corus home in Ontario, and Peacock's terms list "geographic Content restrictions" among the limits subscribers can't get around. For a Canadian viewer, the useful question is which Canadian service bought the show.

Where Peacock originals stream in Canada

Corus is the Canadian broadcaster behind STACKTV, and its channel site lists several Peacock series. We named a show only when that Corus show list and STACKTV's page both carried it and two NBCUniversal pages tied it to Peacock, as of October 30, 2026:

ShowCorus listing (October 30, 2026)What NBCUniversal says
The Paper"Stream on STACKTV""Peacock original comedy series" (September 11, 2026)
The Day of the Jackal"Stream on STACKTV"Trailer labeled "Peacock Original"; sold for "StackTV in Canada" (December 11, 2024)
All Her Fault"Stream on STACKTV""Peacock originals, including All Her Fault" (October 28, 2026)
Bel-Air"Stream on STACKTV""Peacock's Bel-Air" (May 4, 2023)

The premises help you spot them on a crowded menu. NBCUniversal says The Paper is "set in the same universe as NBC's Emmy Award-winning hit series," The Office, and follows the same fictional documentary crew to a struggling newspaper. The Day of the Jackal stars Eddie Redmayne in what NBCUniversal calls "the global thriller hit that shattered viewership records." All Her Fault follows Sarah Snook as a Chicago mother whose son is missing after a playdate, with Dakota Fanning in the cast. Bel-Air is "A reimagining of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," listed for a fourth season in May 2025.

NBCUniversal's May 12, 2025 upfront release is the second page for all four, since it lists each one in Peacock's slate. Two more titles on the Corus list, Teacup and Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, had just one NBCUniversal page in our set, so they're not in the table. Catalogs change, so search the title on STACKTV before you pay.

New Peacock titles arrive often, so for a show missing from the table, these three free pages settle it:

  1. Search the title on the Corus show list linked above and look for the "Stream on STACKTV" line under it.
  2. If it's a reality show, look it up on Hayu while you're in Canada, since Hayu says show availability "may vary by location."
  3. Still nothing? Read NBCUniversal's newsroom page for the show, because a sales release like the Jackal one names the Canadian buyer when there is one.

If all three come up empty, the show likely hasn't got a Canadian home yet. A Peacock account won't open it from Canada either.

What STACKTV costs, and the cable route

Once you know a show is on STACKTV, the price is one line on its FAQ: "How much is a STACKTV subscription on Prime Video? $14.99/month." We list it as $14.99 CAD because it sits on STACKTV's Canadian site, as of October 2026. That's 14.99 x 12 = $179.88 CAD a year if you pay monthly. The STACKTV app article adds a 7-day free trial and "price subject to change." The bundle covers 15 Corus networks, with Slice, W Network and Global TV among them, and a footnote on the price warns "*Provider prices may vary. Restrictions apply."

Already paying for cable? STACKTV says "Cable subscribers can also continue to sign in with their TV provider credentials." That login reaches only channels in your existing package, though, and the Corus where-to-watch page names Bell, Rogers, Telus, Cogeco and Videotron among the providers that carry the channel.

On that page, Rogers carries the channel on 39 in Toronto and Ottawa, and Bell Fibe on 616, or 1616 in HD.

Used the Global TV app before? No new download is needed, since STACKTV says your app "will automatically update to the new STACKTV App." Devices get it at different times, and Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Samsung and LG TVs are on the list. If yours isn't, our explainer on how an OTT box differs from a smart TV helps you pick hardware that gets the app.

The free tier won't help with these four. It covers "Select new episodes of Global TV series" for seven days, and STACKTV files these shows under another Corus channel.

Reality shows: Hayu is NBCUniversal's own service in Canada

Reality fans have a second route, and NBCUniversal runs this one itself. Hayu's support page lists Canada among its markets. NBCUniversal's July 27, 2026 release calls Hayu one of "NBCUniversal's international streaming services." Its price table gives Canada three plans, each "+ applicable taxes," as of October 2026. They're CAD$7.99 monthly, CAD$38.99 for 6 months and CAD$70.99 for 12 months. Per month, that's 38.99 / 6 = $6.50 and 70.99 / 12 = $5.92 CAD, while a year on the monthly plan costs 7.99 x 12 = $95.88, so the yearly plan saves $24.89 CAD.

Taxes come on top. Hayu's table also says some prices changed ahead of a price increase on December 2, 2025, so check it again before you pay.

Bar chart of Canadian prices per month in CAD: STACKTV 14.99, Hayu monthly 7.99, Hayu 6-month 6.50, Hayu 12-month 5.92Diagram by DigitalTreed, from the STACKTV FAQ and the Hayu price table, read October 30, 2026. Before tax.

Hayu's welcome page names The Real Housewives, Below Deck and Vanderpump Rules. Its support page warns that "availability of some TV shows may vary by location," so search your show from Canada before paying for 12 months.

What we tested

We ran two scripts on October 30, 2026, with an honest user agent and no account. The first asked six Peacock addresses for a page without following redirects, and all six answered 302 to /unavailable from our machine in India.

The second matched 54 passages this guide quotes or relies on, and all 54 were in the saved pages word for word. Of six titles on the Corus list, four passed all three checks.

Local results table of six shows checked against the Corus list, STACKTV and NBCUniversal pagesScreenshot: our lookup page on 127.0.0.1, October 30, 2026. Not a Peacock or STACKTV screen.

Visiting Canada with a US Peacock plan

A US plan hits the same wall once you cross the border. Peacock's unavailable page says: "For US customers: Your device must physically be located in the US to stream." The terms agree: "You may not access or use the Peacock Service if you are outside of the United States (including its territories and possessions)." Downloads don't get around it either. Peacock's download help page, as the Internet Archive captured it on March 9, 2026, offers downloads to Premium Plus subscribers on "supported mobile and tablet devices." It allows "a total of 25 pieces of content downloaded across all devices at any one time," and the terms say downloads may face "geographic restrictions on playback."

A download you've started is removed after 48 hours, and an unwatched one after 30 days.

None of that stretches across a six-week stay in Toronto, since a started download is gone in two days. Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands are another story, because Peacock Help lists them among the places Peacock streams. If you're paying for Netflix too, its download limits aren't the same, and our Netflix on Mac guide lays them out.

What Peacock's terms say about hiding your location

Before this rewrite, the page taught VPN and DNS tricks. Peacock's terms say "You may not provide fictitious information or conceal your identity or location," including to get around "geographic Content restrictions." So every route here is a service licensed for Canada, and no VPN product is named.

Our take: in Canada, STACKTV at $14.99 CAD a month (as of October 2026) covers the four Peacock originals we confirmed. Hayu handles reality shows from $5.92 CAD a month on its yearly plan. On a short trip from the US, keep Peacock for home and watch Canadian services while you're away. If STACKTV joins your bills for the trip and something else has to go, our Hulu cancellation guide walks through dropping one.

Peacock in Canada questions

Frequently asked

When did season 2 of The Paper start?

On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, per NBCUniversal.

When does the STACKTV app reach my TV?

STACKTV says its app is rolling out "this fall and winter."
